Next up on Jamz Supernova’s excellent Future Bounce Club Series is London-based producer Poison Zcora. Originally hailing from Dublin, Poison Zcora brings the diverse sound of London nightlife right now to the label with two energetic cuts.
Opening with the show stopper ‘Certain People’, the track takes cues from the new jazz scene that has been bubbling in South London, bringing the essence of a live jam session to the club setting. On the flip side, Poison Zcora goes big with the vibrant ‘Big Jealous’, leaning into glistening synths and a percussive-driven melody - you can expect these tracks to do the rounds on the festival circuit this summer.
Poison Zcora (real name Sean Keating) is a musician, producer, DJ, and label-head based in London who has been involved in the scene since he was 18. From working the door at a weekly dancehall night, helping put on and DJ at the early Touching Bass dances, and playing in Lunch Money Life, it wasn’t until 2020 that he made his production debut on Astral Black’s Frass FM V compilation.
His solo output as Poison Zcora is directly inspired by the wide variety of dance music that originally drew him to London, taking as much inspiration from the rugged sounds of Ward 21 as he does the tantalising harmonies of Kaidi Tatham. In April 2021, there was the release of his debut solo EP The Mainly Incompetent 5 on his own Tiff’s Joints imprint, receiving radio play from the likes of Anz, Jamz Supernova, Moxie and more. Recent remixes for Footshooter and sneaky jesus have both received warm receptions on dancefloors and radio alike.
Released as part of the second instalment of Future Bounce’s Club Series, Poison Zcora follows on from the likes of Scratcha DVA x DemiMa, Blck Mamba, question?marc, The Busy Twist, and AARRT.
K15 is one of the greatest to ever do it. He is a huge inspiration to me as an artist and he consistently knocks out amazing dance music packed with personality and emotion. Poison Zcora
Not new but an incredible album by an incredible artist. Emmavie is one of the greatest/most interesting triple threats (vocals, songwriting and production) in the UK. 'Deluxe (Interlude)' IS CRAZY Poison Zcora

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell

All the tracks are great but Stepper is the standout for me! pounding syncopated kicks, rolling handdrums and playful sample work, dancefloor destroyer. Jack G.
